Electrical connection and commissioning
Does your business project need a grid connection or commissioning? We support you through the administrative and technical steps, from the request to activating your supply contract.
Who does what
Enedis operates the public distribution grid across about 95% of France (local distribution companies cover the rest), carries out the connection and installs the meter. Your electrician handles the internal installation and the Consuel certificate (the compliance approval for the electrical installation). We manage your supply contract and follow your file.
The five connection steps
1. Prepare and file the connection request. 2. Approve the quote issued after the technical study (valid for 3 months). 3. Follow the works coordinated by Enedis. 4. Pay the balance. 5. Commissioning: this requires a signed contract, the paid Enedis invoice and the Consuel certificate. Up to 36 kVA (kilovolt-amperes, the connection capacity), the Linky meter is commissioned remotely, with no appointment.
Indicative timelines
Simple project: 2 to 3 months. Complex project: 4 to 5 months. Special cases: up to 8 months. Above 36 kVA, a personalised Enedis quote is required. These timelines depend on Enedis and on the complexity of the works; we estimate your project with you.
