Rooftop solar: the essentials
We study, install and monitor a photovoltaic plant on the roof of your tertiary buildings, warehouses or industrial sites, existing or new, to cover part of your daytime consumption.
Who is it for, and for what uses?
It suits companies whose buildings have large roofs and daytime consumption: offices, warehouses, workshops, logistics sites, large retail units. It applies to SMEs, mid-sized companies and multi-site businesses.
What it changes for you
You produce on site part of your buildings' energy. The installation is carried out by RGE-qualified teams (Reconnu Garant de l'Environnement), and warranty terms are specified in the proposal.
Which roofs are suitable?
A well-exposed roof (south, south-east or south-west), tilted at around 30 degrees and free of lasting shade (tree, neighbouring building) gives the best yield. An east-west orientation also suits consumption spread across the day.
The structure must carry the weight of the panels and the condition of the roofing matters: we check both during the roof study, before any commitment.
How is the plant sized?
On your daytime consumption, not on the roof area. A plant that is too large injects surplus, resold for less than the electricity you buy from the grid; a plant that is too small leaves daytime consumption unused.
We start from your bills, your load curve (your consumption recorded in 30-minute steps) and your working hours.
Which grants and financing?
Depending on installed capacity, the project may benefit from an investment grant for self-consumption and a feed-in tariff for the surplus, or fall under a CRE (French energy regulator) call for tenders. These schemes change regularly.
We check the conditions in force at the date of your file and cost the chosen structure before you commit.
What maintenance and monitoring?
Panels need little upkeep: regular visual inspection and occasional cleaning, with rain doing most of the work in most regions. The inverter is the most heavily used piece of electronics: it is usually replaced before the panels.
Online production monitoring lets you spot an abnormal drop and compare it with what the plant should produce.
Our solution
A rooftop solar project follows three key stages:
| Criterion | With Eneffic |
|---|---|
| Roof study | Structure, orientation, shading and production potential |
| Installation | Installation by RGE-qualified teams |
| Monitoring | Production and consumption tracked online |

Thomas's take, our expert
On a tertiary building, the right plant is sized on the daytime consumption curve, not on the roof area. I start from your load curves, site by site.
